Remote Viewing Class 10: Tasking

Instructor: Rainsong & Wayfarer
Date: June 16, 2017 (Friday)

Note: This class was conducted in the Order of the Golden Pyramid community’s chatroom

Rainsong
Our topic for the evening, if anyone is actually here, is the Tasking part of remote viewing.
Generally speaking, the viewer is not the one who does the tasking.

Or, if both roles are performed by the same person, then you need to have several “decoy” tasks.
Otherwise, you’ll sabotage most (and possibly all) of the advantages remote viewing has over other approaches to psychic perception.
If you as the viewer already know what the target is, you might as well use dowsing and scrying to get your information.
There’s nothing wrong with dowsing and/or scrying outside of RV protocols. It just isn’t RV.
Using decoy tasks obviously takes more time, because you’re doing several (ideally at least six) full remote viewing sessions instead of just one.
Six of any activity will generally take longer than one of the same activity, all else being equal, yea?
Questions or comments so far?

Constructs for Noobs

Instructor: Rainsong
Date: May 13, 2017 (Saturday)

<Rainsong> Is anyone in the mood for a seminar tonight?

<Dakaran> I would appreciate a seminar.

<Rainsong> Topic?

<Dakaran> hm… Perhaps constructs? I’ve been neglecting the basics.

<Rainsong> Sure thing

<Rainsong> Would you like me to lecture as though you were a noob, or have your own personal Q&A session?

<Dakaran> Noob please.

<Rainsong> Alrighty. 🙂

<Rainsong> Constructs are clumps of psi-stuff/ooomph/ki/whatever that are programmed to do something.

<Rainsong> That something cane be “simple” such as “holding a shape kinda like a ball” ….

Rainsong
@here starting…
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.

Red
Hi

Rainsong
Hi, Red.
Welcome to another installment of our Remote Viewing class.
Tonight, we’ll be talking about AOL breaks, and possible some more history, depending on how the time goes.
Do you (or does anyone else here) have any questions arising from previous classes, before we get started on tonight’s bits?
*looks around and doesn’t see anyone typing*
I’ll take that as a “no.”
Unfortunately, Wayfarer had another commitment tonight. While it’s possible he might pop in and comment at some point, he won’t be taking part much or at all.

Fair enough.

Do you have any questions, before we (possibly) get to tonight’s topic?

Welcome to another installment of our Remote Viewing seminar series.
*bows to Wayfarer* As usual for the Friday-night sessions, Wayfarer and I will be co-presenting this evening.
We have a bit of a mixed bag tonight, because it would be best to not immediately proceed to Stage 5, yet.
So, first up… we’ll start with a review/Q&A session.
Are there any questions or concerns arising from earlier lectures, reviews, or practice sessions?

Mario
This is my first lecture :((

Rainsong
Mario: Not to worry. 😀

Era d’Lux
*curstsies* Evening.

TehOldeSourcerer
Hello

Wayfarer
Ahoy. *bows back*
Okay so first I wanted to lead with a new channel that many of you have seen but which until now has not been active, which is #remote-viewing.
It’s available for members and associates, and houses RVT, a tasking bot that @Azarea was kind enough to whip up for us.
Documentation is in the channel, but it will make skills practice significantly easier. The bot allows you to receive a randomly assigned target by saying “RVT begin” , and after running the target, you can type “RVT end [urls. . . ]” where the urls are for image links for your runsheet (photograph it).
That will let me review not only whether or not your run was a “hit” or “miss,” but also much more importantly, whether you’ve got good command of structure.
The documentation for bot commands and so on are pinned at the top of that channel.
You can ping me for a session review after you’ve run one, and if there are any problems with the bot, you can let me know, or cut me out of the loop and just go straight to Azarea (that is what I will do).

Remote Viewing Class 5: Stage 3

Instructor: Rainsong & Wayfarer
Date: April 14, 2017 (Friday)

Note: This class was conducted in the Order of the Golden Pyramid community’s chatroom

Rainsong
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome to another session of our ongoing series about Remote Viewing.
Our primary topic for the evening is Stage 3.
Those of you who’ve been taking part in the practice sessions have been working on stages 1 and 2 so far.
And while this is a good time to learn about Stage 3, you won’t be doing much with it yet. It’s very important to get solid practice in the first two stages before venturing further.
In the same way, it’s very important to pay attention to AOL and other parts of the structure that seem like they “are just for beginners”… If you’re not getting AOL, recording AOL, and taking AOL breaks, you’re doing it wrong.

Hobbetian
And AOLs should always be recorded, but never treated as actually representative of what is being viewed, right?

Rainsong
That’s right.
They should be recorded because if you try to “ignore” or “repress” them, you’re interfering with the process, and the bits that would otherwise be recorded as AOL will corrupt all your data from that point.
Also, it should be noted that sometimes the data in the AOL is correct.

Tutorial on Psionics and Bracelet Enchanting

Instructor: Wayfarer
Date: April 6, 2017 (Thursday)

Note: This class was conducted in the Order of the Golden Pyramid community’s chatroom

Wayfarer
Okay @Katie , enough politicking. Let’s do some psionics and suchlike. @Jade you can start following the conversation again from here when you read back. Katie do you mind giving me a general brief history of what kind of thing you’ve done so far? You obviously already do some scanning?

Katie
Scanning is basically everything I did in relation to psi

Wayfarer
What about with regards to other things? And what method of scanning did you learn?

Wayfarer
It helps to know your magical background generally so as to relate psionics to other things. Helps communicate concepts.

Katie
some basic witchcraft. Enchanting crystals and necklaces. Basic protection spells.

Katie
I don’t know, there’s different methods?

Wayfarer
Well people learn different ways to do the same thing. Okay, enchanting crystals and necklaces is a good start, as it’s essentially where I start when teaching psionics. So as you know, then, everything, objects, people, etc. already have a kind of energy to them, and that energy can carry information and interact with other such energy, yeah?

Remote Viewing Class 4: Documentation & Stage 2

Instructor: Rainsong & Wayfarer
Date: March 31, 2017 (Friday)

Note: This class was conducted in the Order of the Golden Pyramid community’s chatroom

Wayfarer
Right, so, this is I believe the fourth week of this series on Remote Viewing. I believe this evening we’re planning to cover some finer points that may have been glossed over in previous weeks, as well as introduce the first real practical application, which would be Associative Remote Viewing (ARV). We will possibly run a few targets towards the end for that ARV practice.
Rainsong has been teaching the course thus far, of course, and will be continuing to do so, and I’ve been kind of handling the practical elements and filling in with my experience.
Earlier this week, on Monday, I believe, I ran a handful of sessions with a few people in attendance, notably Dr. Strange Stuff and Zeera. Doc S. had an absolutely fantastic Stage 2 session, of the sort that we predict from the kind of “beginner’s luck” effect.
More on that in just a moment.
But the beginner’s luck effect comes from the training literature which recognized that early RV sessions tend to be *fantastically* good, and then immediately nosedive to just being garbage for a good long while. The hardest part of learning RV is not getting discouraged in the doldrums.
Whether or not someone expects fantastic results *forever* is usually the determining factor for whether they will continue on or just sort of flame out during the bad period.
The said, I’m going to repost his run sheet, with his permission. @Dr. Strange Stuff , you good with that?

Dr. Strange Stuff
Yep

Remote Viewing Class 3: How to Run a Session

Instructor: Rainsong & Wayfarer
Date: March 24, 2017 (Friday)

Note: This class was conducted in the Order of the Golden Pyramid community’s chatroom

Rainsong
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome to the third installment of the remote viewing class
As usual, Wayfarer is also instructing. *bows to Wayfarer*
Before proceeding, the obvious question is: is anyone interested in proceeding?

Shard
Was lucky enough to not have to work today, so I can finally make it here. 😀

Rainsong
Hi, Shard 😀
Have you read the previous two?

Shard
Yeah, not something I would do good at, but the knowledge has helped a ton in indirect ways. Thanks a ton for sharing, both of you.

Wayfarer
This is the one where we actually start doing some remote viewing, so it is the one to hit if you missed the first two I think.
